Welcome to the DCSG Simulator

The Data Centre Cost and Energy Simulator software has been developed under the Carbon Trust Low Carbon Collaborations programme in conjunction with the BCS and Romonet Ltd.

The core simulation software available to download here has been developed as a flexible and extensible framework and is available under an OSL V3.0 open-source licence to allow its use and adoption in the widest possible range of environments and applications.

The Simulator has grown out of three years of focused research and development by Romonet Ltd and the large collective experience of the BCS Data Centre Specialist Group (DCSG) in analysing data centre energy efficiency.

The BCS hosts a web user interface to the core simulator that allows for online use of the simulator. This is accessible to BCS DCSG members via the link on the right.

DCSG Members can access the Simulator from the links that will appear on the right after logging in.

The data centre cost and energy simulator was invented by Romonet Ltd.
