Training & Qualifications for Data Centre Professionals
EU Code of Conduct on Data Centres Energy Efficiency Course & Qualification
In response to the rising challenges facing data centre operators, owners, systems designers, equipment manufacturers and customers the European Commission have introduced the Code of Conduct on Data Centres. The Code aims to raise awareness of the issues and opportunities around energy efficiency and provide best practice guidance.
BCS partnered with Romonet to develop an ISEB course syllabus (practitioner level) and examination. CNet Training are the first specialist training provider to have developed a three-day training course against the ISEB syllabus. The examination is independently administered by ISEB.
CNet training course
The course introduces the Code, the benefits it brings, the levels of commitment required, the technical background to the best practices, data collection and reporting together with worked examples. The course will enable everyone working in data centres to improve cost and energy efficiency as well as helping Participants articulate the value of their products and services for Endorsers.
The ongoing development of the Code has created a best practise framework for everyone involved in data centres to work towards and aspire to. The Code encompasses topics associated with new data centre planning and development as well as tuning and operation of existing facilities, both of which will be covered in detail.
